Dies Viginti Tres

Sorry there hasn't been a report in the past few days, I took the weekend of and was out of town for work all day yesterday.

The past few days were busy, over the weekend I had two landscaping jobs which took up a lot of time and physical exertion, I was however able to train on Saturday. Marching wise I was able to go roughly 10 miles each day of the weekend (You'd be suprised how much walking is done in landscaping) unfortunatley I only walked 5 miles yesterday (that's what council meetings do )

Today I got up at 6.30 for a quick 3 mile march, it was pouring with rain which made it hard. I had a weighted rucksack of 10kg, this is a step up from previous weeks and I definitley noticed the strain. My midday march of 1 and a half miles was good, again, the rain persisted but I got it done. My walk in the evening was a slower march of 3 miles.

Labour wise I was just making some more wooden steps for a patio which wasn't too difficult, felt knackered after the weekend.

Training wise I did 200 pushups, 300 squats, 200 band pull aparts and 200 crunches. The battle will be this week so I am preparing for that. One thing I was worried about throughout this project was my joints but they've been relativley ok, even with the huge volume of excersises.

Nutrition wise has been good, guess what I'm having.... Legionairres stew, again. This time pork, I know the Romans were fond of fish, but this legionary cannot stand it. What I did have over the weekend however was Posca. (I got the recipe for qz.com https://qz.com/quartzy/1372506/posca/) I think I put a bit too much vinegar in it, it was nice, but the vinegar was overpowering. I think I will just stick to normal wine.

Mentally I have been fine, I know its the last week so I just have to push on !
